Weekend Away Speaking

Just a quick post to say that I’m about to head off to a camp site outside Coonabarabran (near the Siding Springs telescope!) to speak at the weekend away of Lightning Ridge Community Church (which is the really the Anglican church in that town).

Rick Maude is the minister there, and Rick was a Student Minister of mine in our time at Tregear (Mt Druitt). I have huge respect for Rick and Danielle as they tough it out in the Ridge. It’s far from an easy place to minister, and I’m humbled by Rick’s energy and commitment to the place.

It’s a 6+ hour drive to the site, and then three talks on the topic ‘What our church needs the most’ plus a kids talk on Sunday morning.
If you read this in time, I’d value your prayers for the driving and the talks. If you are wondering what the talk are really about, I’ll tell you after you take a guess by leaving a comment:
