Does the church need technology?
...If you believe this guy we don’t need it, but it can be a helpful aid in reaching our western culture…
What do you think?

I’m not quite sure about the author’s second purpose of using technology, to create a weekend experience.
Something I’ve been thinking about lately is our view of the “message”. As a teacher in training, I’m being shown interesting ideas that move beyond the teacher at the front of the room. These ideas certainly would be applied more easily in a Growth Group. But, I think we always need to be reviewing what we do, ensuring it is effective. For example, is a 20-30 minute sermon the most effective way of presenting the Bible at our weekly meetings? Or, a better question might be, should it be the only presentation of the Bible?
Then again, maybe we are not truly tech types at our church… no pony-tails.

I also have no doubt that we can ‘do’ the Bible better in our meetings – ever since being in youth ministry I have thought that way. It’s just that no one has yet demonstrated a sustainable alternative for smaller churches like ours.
Pony tails? Doesn’t he make allowances for bald heads too? ;-)
