Easy web site construction

I really like Texpattern because it helps me build web sites faster and with much greater consistency than hand-coding. It also (like all CMS’s) allows for quick and easy adding and updating of content.

But you still need to be pretty geeky to set Textpattern up on a server and put a decent site together.

So Bubbler is interesting, and I think will find a significant market.
Read the review here. It’s not just a peice of software, but is linked to a web hosting plan for users. What it appears to be is a tool to allow people to easily create blog-style web sites that look pretty slick. It’s template based, which is a bit restricting, but presumably it’s possible to modify those templates and expand on them.

This type of tool could easily be the downfall of Frontpage (if that hasn’t fallen already!)
