Westserve v2 goes live
For those who have been bored with my ramblings about the site redesign and restructure – your wait is over.
Here it is.
It’s based on a theme entered in the Textpattern ‘Textplate’ competition, and I like it’s different layout, flexible sidebar (which I have further plans for), and nice font size scalability.
It lends itself to some personalisation, with the photo at the top being one my son took near our house at Blackheath. More photos will follow and the banner will change periodically.
It’s been a good chance to clean things out a bit and tidy up the structure of the blog a lot. The original Westserve grew like topsy – when I started it, I had no idea whether I would keep it going or not.
The down side to the restructure is that that most of bookmarked and Google-cached URLs for the site will no longer work.
My apologies for that, but the new tagging system should make it easier to find articles, and if that fails the search form (on the right) should help nail it down.
There are still bits and pieces to tidy up, and some things may not work as expected. Please let me know if you find any problems.
As always I welcome your comments and emails via the contact form
