Top Gear - Ariel Atom
I know that Australia is w-a-y behind in seeing episodes of Top Gear on SBS, but one of the last shows aired here before Mythbusters took back the timeslot, featured an extraordinary car called the Ariel Atom. This must be the most fun that can be had on four wheels.
It’s only about 500kg of frame with the bare minimum of stuff bolted on. The motor is from a Honda Civic Type R, supercharged to produce over 225Kw.
The result? 0-100Kph in 2.9 seconds. That’s some serious grunt.
Airel have put up the entire Top Gear segment (a Quicktime video) in which Jeremy raves about the Atom after hammering it around their test track.

I love this car. My girls loved seeing Jeremy’s face when he drove it fast without a helment!
