The V-Team take off

As I write these words, the V-Team (here and other articles) are literally taking off for the month long mission trip to Vanuatu.
Joel has been more excited about this than anything else I can remember, and I certain it will be a life changing time for him.

If you are so inclined, here’s a list of prayer points:
Vanuatu:

  • Give great praise to God that this mission can go ahead, and that we can all be involved in His wondrous work in Vanuatu
  • Pray for the Ni-Vanuatu as they struggle with nominalism amongst their churches and the influx of other religions such as Mormonism
  • Pray for the Ni-Vanuatu Christians to develop strong personal relationships with God without sacrificing their loving community focus
  • Thank God for the growth of teaching centres (such as Talua) that are training God’s people to minister to their brothers and sisters

The Team:

  • Give God great praise that He has not only softened the hearts of our team’s families to allow them to go, but opened the door for witnessing to them!
  • Pray for healing for one of our intrepid team leaders, Glen, who came down quite heavily with the flu a week ago
  • Praise God that all our fears and doubts about funds were proved foolish by the generousity of His people
  • Pray for prayerful dependence on God in all that we do
  • Pray for a humble heart to learn from our Ni-Vanuatu brother and sisters

Updates will be posted when available…

  1. Neil, it would be great if you posted these items about the “V-Team” on the TAC blog as well.

  2. Heya! Here’s my allocated 2 minutes of internet time before we leave Vila…and I can’t get teh silly compy to login to my email!
We’ve had a whirlwind week doing schools ministry (evangelistic presentations), sunday school training seminars, men’s fellowship nights and back-to-back youth groups! I’ve been greatly encouraged by the Ni-Vanuatu love for everyone, and their dedication to God, but please continue praying for a continuing deepening of their faith! We’re off to Santo this afternoon where my real work begins with the Bible College seminars. Please pray for wisdom as we reshuffle them and write some new ones to address things we’ve seen here.
    God bless,

    J
