A garden visitor
Well, we’ve had snakes, amazing parrots and other birds, but yesterday, a first.
She Who Must Be Listened To and I are near the end of another really nice two weeks at Blackheath. It’s spring here and we’ve been spending a fair amount of time in the garden enjoying the amazing display of flowers and doing lots of tidying up.
But yesterday, we had an unusual visitor: a little Echidna (Eric? or Ecrica?). You can see the images below. I think he was a youngster, and I have no idea why he was walking through our garden.
Whenever we moved, he instantly curled up in a ball, presenting his impressive spiney coat to us. But he moved on fairly quickly, and I only hope he managed to get across roads and through yards with dogs safely.
