Taking my leave...

No, don’t worry, I’m not departing in the normal sense of the word.
But I am taking some long service leave – eight love-er-ly weeks of it!

It starts on March 31,but as I type, we’ve just settled into our Blackheath house for the duration. I will head back to Springwood tomorrow for church, but then, that’s it for eight weeks!
I know most people do a big trip on their lsl, but we’re not. For health reasons, Rob can’t travel, so it’s not really an option. But we just love Blackheath, and so we will base ourselves here, do some short day trips around, read a lot, watch a load of DVD’s, and oh yeah, I get to paint the outside of the house!
Maybe to many, that doesn’t sound like a relaxing holiday, but it will be. Painting is therapeutic for me, and outside on sunny autumn days in the upper Blue Mountains is as good as it gets as far as I’m concerned.
Oh, and the goal of the DVD watching is to get through as many episodes as possible of all seven series of ‘The West Wing’!

Hopefully, it will also mean more opportunity for blogging, so stay tuned…
